Chamonix -Terroir Driven Wines
This week we were visited by Neil Bruwer, winemaker and Stefan van Rooyen, Director of Chamonix Wine Estate.
We tried a wonderful selection of their wines made with minimal processes and regenerative agriculture to ensure the best quality fruit and purity of the wine.
Their vines are grown from 400 - 600 metres above sea level on south west facing slopes in Franschoek. The oldest plot of Chenin Blanc was planted in 1965 and officially qualify as 'Old Vines'.
The Winemaking team, led by Neil produce Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Chenin Blanc.
We stock many of these wines because we just cant resist the balance of fabulous quality and excellent
value. And they are super nice guys too!
