The white grapes were pressed before the fermentation started at 18°C. The wine was fortified using natural grape spirit, which caused the fermentation to stop and left a sweet wine with 16% alcohol, relatively light in alcohol for a fortified wine. The wine was then aged for seven years in old, large oak barrels.

On the nose spicy undertones enhance the briary raspberry and blackberry perfumes characteristic of the Seghesio Zinfandel. On the palate it is full-bodied, with lush fruit character interwoven with fine, integrated tannins and a long, smooth finish.
Bila-Haut Occultum Lapidem is a rich and characterful Cotes du Rousillon from Chapoutier. The wine has aromas of ripe nectarine and apricot on the nose with delicate notes of peach blossom and white flowers. The palate has a crisp, fresh acidity, balanced by the roundness of the Grenache blanc.
A blend of Grenache Blanc, Viognier, Roussanne and Marsanne from El Dorado in California. The 2016 Smithereens is a balanced, medium-bodied expression of a blend, with just the right amount of structure, acid, and fruit.
Vine Starr, from Broc cellars is a delicious, modern Zinfandel made by a highly skilled producer, who is brilliant at retaining freshness and purity of flavour. The wine displays pure, red fruit, with great freshness and elegance. The wine is medium-bodied with a lovely clean finish. A really really fabulous wine!
The iconic Ridge Lytton Springs is a blend of Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Carignan and Mourvedre from the Dry Creek Valley in Sonoma County. The wine presents jammy raspberry fruit with pepper, mint and sweet toasted oak. Brambly fruit on the palate, sensuous and well defined tannins and balanced acidity.
A deep and powerful Californian Zinfandel, full of bright red fruit. The core of this blend comes from the Cortina Vineyard planted in 1972 in Dry Creek Valley. This site is named after the gravelly loam soils prevalent up and down Dry Creek Valley.

The San Lorenzo vineyard was purchased by the Seghesios in 1896. The blend for `The Pearl` is a result of the century old field blend of 69% Zinfandel, 15% Petite Sirah, 5% Carignan and 10% mixed reds that include Grand Noir, Alicante, Negrette and Mataro. The nose has layered complexity with black plums, raspberries and cigar box aromas.
