This Gruner Veltliner hails from Gaisberg, a sub region in Kamptal also known as the little brother of Heiligenstein. The wine is a deep yellow green, with aromas of quince, blood orange and honeydew melon, with excellent spicy fruit characters, it is a dry wine but has a delicate sweetness, and well balanced acidity on the palate.
This wine is incredibly fresh and lively. On the nose there are aromas of cherries and fuity berries with a hint of red pepper. The mouth fills with all that fruit, hints of coconut, pepper and spice. The wine is deliciously dry with creamy tanins. This is a wine of complexity with plenty of layers to ponder. Fantastic!
