Lifted blue fruits, blood plum, ripe blackberries and Christmas pudding-like spice flow out of the glass with spicy pepper, and hints of bramble and dark chocolate. Generous mouth filling sweet blackberry, raspberry and plums cover the palate with lashings of sweet spice.

This is a serious wine with aromatics of dark plum, cherry, spice and earthy undertones. The palate is generous and rich and does not disappoint with these characters shining through, coupled with dark berries. A long tannin structure integrated with new and older French oak make this wine one that will age very well.
An intriguing nose of rose petals and summer pudding of lifted red fruits, berries and a little lime marmalade from the co-fermentation with the aromatic Eden Valley Riesling. Wild cherries, blueberries, and mulberries and an impressive stucture balanced by spicy, supple oak and soft velvety tannins.

The white grapes were pressed before the fermentation started at 18°C. The wine was fortified using natural grape spirit, which caused the fermentation to stop and left a sweet wine with 16% alcohol, relatively light in alcohol for a fortified wine. The wine was then aged for seven years in old, large oak barrels.
Blend of Shiraz with a tiny bit of Viognier, the white aromatic variety. Aromas of violets and peppercorns, nutmeg and blue fruits. Rich and smooth on the palate with soft velvety tannins and flavours of fruit compote with savoury charcuterie notes. Juicy, with medium weight and good balance. This wine is a project formed between two very good English cricketers (Ian Botham & Bob Willis) and one very good Australian winemaker (Geoff Merrill). The wine is full bodied showing notes of blackberry, leather and anise. It ends with a lovely dry finish.
A Rhone style white from Franco Lourens, assistant winemaker to Chris Alheit. This is a blend of Grenache Blanc, Verdelho, Roussanne and Chenin from the Western Cape, whole bunch pressed and fermented in old French oak. Rich and expressive with ripe citrus, stone fruit and floral notes. The palate has a crisp acidity with weight and texture.

Deep, black-red in colour, with perfumes of dark cherry, aniseed and blackcurrant on the nose, giving way to good structure on the palate, ripe, silky tannins and a broad, spiced, savoury fruit character. it is spicy and rich to the finish.
Bila-Haut Occultum Lapidem is a rich and characterful Cotes du Rousillon from Chapoutier. The wine has aromas of ripe nectarine and apricot on the nose with delicate notes of peach blossom and white flowers. The palate has a crisp, fresh acidity, balanced by the roundness of the Grenache blanc.
A blend of Grenache Blanc, Viognier, Roussanne and Marsanne from El Dorado in California. The 2016 Smithereens is a balanced, medium-bodied expression of a blend, with just the right amount of structure, acid, and fruit.

A small amount of Shiraz is hand-picked every year to make this limited release Sparkling Shiraz. "You could bite into this! It`s dense, black, chocolaty and richly flavoured, the smooth, spreading flavour of it very easy to fall for.
The 2014 Antiquarian Shiraz was selected from the finest Barossa grapes and matured in French oak barriques for 24 months.The wine is glorious upon release and will develop even greater complexity with cellaring for up to 10 years. The wine is a deep crimson red, showing brick edges.
