Our Wines

Due to hit the shop in early March. Williams Chase Rosé is a beautiful classic blend of Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault. By harvesting at night, the freshness of the wine is preserved and a short cold-maceration for the must in contact with the skins imparts the enticing pale shade of pink. Dry, with a touch crushed red fruits.

Chateau D`Esclans Whispering Angel is the introductory wine to the Chateau’s line of Rose. Salmon coloured with aromas of redcurrant and raspberry. The palate has a creamy texture rarely seen in rose with great breadth and dense summer fruit aromas.

Charming rosé from the Barossa Valley. The wine is vibrant, bright cerise in colour with good depth. Rose petal and delicate musk perfumes lift out of the glass with a little hint of allspice aromatics. The palate is an intriguing combination of delicacy and richness.

Les Clans is the second label in the d’Eslcans flight and it leads into partial oak vinification giving it hints of the complexity and structure for which Chateau d’Esclans high end cuvees are known. The Wine Enthusiast states that Esclans current vintage pushes the envelope of Provence Roses.

The Kanvas Rosé is made exclusively from Garnacha vines planted over 40 years ago. Pale salmon pink colour with a subtle bluish hue. Fine and complex aroma, a mixture of fresh and floral notes, red fruits with hints of Mediterranean herbs. The palate has a very friendly, sweet sensation, velvety, in balance with its lively acidity.

A blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah from vineyards in the South of France. A floral wine with a frank attack, well balanced acidity, full and enhanced by white-fleshed fruit notes. Ideal for aperitif drinking, it will also go well with summer cuisine: salads, grills and dishes from the south of France.

Le Poussin is made by Sacha Lichine of Whispering Angel fame. The Pink Chick is a delicate, pale pink blend made mostly from Grenache with a little dash of Syrah to round it out. It has floral, rose petal scents on the nose and a dry, well balanced palate with supple summer fruits.

This Cotes du Rhone from the iconic Perrin family have produced a beautiful 2017 vintage with great maturity. The nose reveals a beautiful expression of Grenache quite ripe without being tannic. Rich in the mouth, it offers a nice complexity with aromas of spices, garrigue, blackcurrant and white pepper. Delicious

From the Mathilde Chapoutier Selection tihs is a sulphite free Cotes du Rhone made from a blend of Grenache and Syrah. The palate is full and concentrated, there is a lovely freshness on entry with gorgeous red fruit accompanied by powerful, melted tannins. The finish is persistent with slightly smoky notes and a hint of liquorice.

A fragrant and well balanced wine, AIX`s hypnotising salmon pink colour reveals a fruity freshness and premium rosé. The nose is fresh and fragrant, delicate yet youthful and offers classy notes of watermelon, strawberries and flowers.

Clos Mireille Rosé is a wonderful pastel colour with salmon notes and hints of copper and pink gold. The elegant and delicate bouquet develops aromas of candied melon and citrus zest, both fresh and heady. On the palate the immediate expression is energising, like morning dew, with bursts of fruity redcurrant notes.

Wanderer’s Heart is a Cape Red – a wine that is built around the incredible vineyards found all over the Western Cape. The wine’s aromas include tea leaf, dried cranberry, exotic woods, star anise, coriander seed and citrus peel, and a whiff of the apothecary’s chest. On the palate there’s naartjie peel, cloves and damson plums.

Beautiful dark red dress. The nose is powerful with intense notes of juniper, black olives and pepper. In the mouth, it is an explosion of red fruit, with floral and spicy notes, but with a very nice balance combining great freshness, a beautiful complexity, a soft texture and a nice acidity. A wine that has a lot of character.

A Southern Rhone which punches above its weight, with lively cherry notes on the nose, a touch of liquorice and hints of black pepper. On the palate, it is full-bodied and the ripe tannins gently support the cherry, cassis and herb character on the finish.  

Rock Angel rose is an iconic Provencal rose from the Esclans house. Pushing the envelope of Provence Roses. 85% Grenache, 15% Rolle grapes from the best vineyard areas of La Motte Provence.

Pur Cent by Domaine du Bois de Saint Jean is a Cotes du Rhone made using 16 different varieties from a vineyard originally planted in 1910. A complex and mysterious Rhone red.

The superb Domaine des Bosquets Gigondas is made by Laurent Brechet from his 26 hectare estate close to the Dentelles de Montmirail mountains. As at Vaudieu, the wine has freshness yet richness. Laurent has identified three different terroirs which add to the potential for different ripeness levels and fruit characters.

A wine which exemplifies the art and skill of the winemaker.
