Vinha Grande is the second oldest wine of the Douro Valley (after Barca Velha) and its heritage is noticeable in every sip. Deep ruby in colour. On the nose, this wine showcases intense aromas of blackberry, red cherry and plum alongside floral nuances and savoury notes of balsamic, tobacco box and spice.
Vintage Prosecco and Brut which means it is drier and a bit more `grown up` than standard extra dry Prosecco which is not actually that dry .Bright straw yellow in colour. Vibrant aromas of apple with floral notes of wisteria and acacia blossom which follow on to the palate.

Pale yellow colour. A fresh, lively nose, with notes of citrus and a touch of elegant oak. The wine is well balanced with good acidity, medium to full body and long, mineral finish.
Bright and light straw in colour. Aromas of baked brioche and granny smith apples are abundant on the nose. The palate is dominated by a powerful mousse with a full and zesty minerality. Fresh and lively, the wine ends with a crisp and lingering finish.

The elegant and delicate bouquet develops aromas of candied melon and citrus zest, both fresh and heady. On the palate the immediate expression is energising, like morning dew, with bursts of fruity redcurrant notes.
Taittinger Brut Réserve has a high proportion of Chardonnay in the blend giving it elegance and finesse. It has fine, pale gold bubbles and aromas of biscuit and brioche.

This rare parcel came into Rick’s view in March 2020, when he was presented with a bottle, still on its original crown cap. The wine had gently been sleeping sur lattes for the previous five years.
