This delicious dry white wine is made from Furmint, one of the main grape varieties that makes the famous sweet wine Tokaji. Highly aromatic with notes of ripe peaches and pears on the nose. The palate has rich stone fruit and tropical fruit flavours of peaches and lychee.
Vineyards around Lake Kaltern are very small in size and most of the winemakers in the region have less than one hectare of land, for a small winemaker it is virtually impossible to make and market their own wine so the co-operative of Kaltern was set up in 1906 with the goal of producing high quality wines.
Interesting, dry Furmint from Tokaji. Great food wine very versatile, medium gold in colour. This aromatic varietal produces a young, intense, highly mineral wine with a creamy texture. The taught acid structure balances the lively pear, lime and quince and salty, mineral character, which lingers on the elegant finish.
This complext Pinot Grigio from Livio Felluga is straw yellow in colour with light copper hues. The bouquet is elegant and complex with floral notes of jasmine and perfumes of white peach, apricot, pear and golden apple.
One of the very finest Pinot Grigios with amazing concentration and finesse. Copper coloured from the natural grape skin tint. The bouquet is full of sweet pastry aromas, scents of Williams pear skin and notes of yellow fruit. Extraordinary complexity on the palate expresses ripe fruit together with great structure.
This fantastic Tokaji is a deep golden colour with an expressive nose of ripe peaches, honey and orange peel. The palate is opulent and sweet with classic botrytis notes of sweet spices, honeysuckle, dried apricots and figs with a lovely fresh acidity which gives the wine a lovely silky mouthfeel without being cloying.
Deep yellow in colour, with flecks of gold. The nose is fragrant and open, with honey and dried fruits. Apricot, citrus peel and fig flavours mix on the palate with a mellow vanilla complexity. The long finish is sweet, with an unctous, rich feel, but is nicely balanced by refreshing acidity and 11% alcohol.
