German Pinot, fun, fruity , tastes like Pinot ! for not much money ! Pale cherry red colour. There’s an attractive herby, savoury, minerally character to the nose which shows some lightly aromatic red cherry fruit.

The sloping vineyards of the Leistenberg are characterised predominantly by clay slate soils. This dry, blackish-grey slate is perfect for producing superbly elegant wines. The characterful dry Riesling wines from these soils are therefore named after this ancient rock. Tonschiefer translates as clay slate.
Another superb wine from the Donnhoff range! This is a Trocken Riesling that shows lovely notes of flowers, spice and peach. The palate is dry but the nose makes the drinker believe it is much sweeter. Great value for money.
Dreissigacker owns vineyards in the Rheinhessen which is currently undergoing what might be termed a ‘Rheinhessen revival’ with winemaker Jochen at its forefront. Jochen‘s wines all have Organic certification and he also uses Biodynamic methods for much of his estate.
Translates as “as if it were a piece of me”, a small parcel of Gunderloch`s Nackenheimer Rothenberg vineyard has been converted to biodynamics with this wine the result. Its success or failure determining whether the remainder of land will be converted. The experiments aren’t restricted to the vineyard.
Light in colour with green hues, it is fruity and elegant on the nose, with aromas of ripe fruits and a hint of lime peel. On the palate it is elegant, well-balanced with flavours of yellow and green fruit, and a long finish.
Top German Pinot from Franken. The nose is bright, precise and elegant with distinctive (German Pinot) notes of bacon, clove and even of wild (Black) forest floor fruit and strawberries. leshy and expansive on the palate, with sweet blackberry and wild cherry flavors providing fine energy and weight.
Cuvee from Rothenberg, Pettenthal and Hipping. Harvest takes place in the middle of October in the lower terraces. The wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks and after a certain time of aging on the fine lees, the wine is filled early in spring.
Seriously good quality German Pinot Noir. Dark ruby red in colour. Intense flavours of ripe cherries and ripe beeries with a hint of vanilla. The palate is full and lush and goes on with the fruitiness. The alcohol is nice balanced by the juicy acidity and the mature tannins. A great long lasting finish.
The Kaisersteinfels has an intense aroma of pure Riesling fruit. Vigor is coupled with subtle elegance in this wine. The well-melded fruit acid is buffered by a fine remnant of sweetness, and the result is a highly dynamic taste experience.
Rich and full-bodied pleasure of Riesling at its best with comparatively little residual sugar. Hence a perfect main course wine, not a pudding wine. Juicy and fresh expression of peaches and dried apricots, great ageing potential.
This Frühburgunder, a Pinot Noir clone, from Franken in Germany is a beautiful pale garnet colour. The wine bursts with ripe red cherries and plums. The pretty floral aromas give way to a more savoury and sweet spice notes on the palette. Don`t be fooled by the light colour, this wine packs a punch!
