Salice is a soft yet full-flavoured red from southern Puglia. It is perhaps the best-known appellation of the region for its inviting fruit character, blending local varieties Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera. Its distinctive plum and chocolate character has an attractive underlying leather and mineral flavours.
German producer Villa Wolf make some absolutely fabulous, great value wine. This Pinot Noir Rosé from the Rhine River Valley is a great crowd pleaser. The wine has a delicate red berry aroma, with notes of strawberry, red currant and stone fruits. A hint of residual sugar adds a roundness to the palate, elegantly balanced by fresh acidity.

German Pinot, fun, fruity , tastes like Pinot ! for not much money ! Pale cherry red colour. There’s an attractive herby, savoury, minerally character to the nose which shows some lightly aromatic red cherry fruit.
Great Value new wave Chilean Pinot which is quite a profound experience for the money. It`s made from a selection of young vines mainly sourced from hillside blocks planted on a mixture of red clay and decomposed granite. The wine was aged for a total of 9 months in second use French oak barrels before being bottled with minimal filtration.
The grapes for this wine come from their estate vineyards on the Felton Road. Handpicked and hand crafted, this wine reflects the nature of the vintage displaying great concentration and balance. Red fruits of the forest along with blackberries dominate the aroma, these are underpinned by savoury herb and liquorice.
This is a great cool climate Pinot Noir from the esteemed Aconcagua Costa Valley in Chile. The grapes were hand picked to ensure optimum ripeness and quality. The wine was aged for 10 months in French Oak barrels to gain complexity without overpowering the fresh fruit character.
Proof that German Pinot is a serious contender (actually now the 3rd biggest grower of Pinot Noir in the world ). Beautiful display of classic ruby colours, cherry and raspberry like flavours and aromas. A hint of oak from the barrique barrel ageing, well balanced, soft acidity and ripe finish. “Make great wine for drinking and enjoying; not crowing over”. Briary chocolate and just a hint of stemmy spice on the nose. Musk and brambly red berries combine with orange peel, dark cocoa powder and roasted coffee beans. Wet red earth and undergrowth. The palate shows spicy clovey notes with a Campari like stalkiness.
The wine has an aroma of savoury ripe plum and cherry with a hint of game and smoky oak. Light to medium bodied with round, mouthfilling flavours of plum and cherry, pleasing weight and a long elegant finish with good acidity. Oak integrates nicely with the fruit and helps with the silky tannin structure.

Produced since 1954, the Salice Salentino Riserva has an intense ruby-red colour with garnet hints. Concentrated aromas of black cherries and blackberry complement notes of basil, and sweet spices thanks to the time in barrel. On the palate, the wine is smooth and balanced with velvety tannins. Long on the finish.
The bouquet is complex with scents reminiscent of wild berries, sour cherries and violets. On the palate the wine shows medium body with fruit flavours balanced elegantly by tannin in a long lingering finish.
