Cabernet Sauvignon

This wine is very deep, intense ruby in colour with violet hues. On the palate, sweet spices of vanilla, cinnamon and ginger entwine with flavours of dates and dried figs. A racy, incredibly full-bodied and well-structured wine with enormous density and power.

This Cabernet Sauvignon dominant Bordeaux blend, from the lovely team at Botanica shows blackberry, black cherry and tobacco aromas. Soft ripe fruit, dark red plums and lingering earthy and chocolate notes. It`s smooth and warming, with a velvety texture and a long finish, it is absolutely delicious.

From an estate part owned by Chateau Angelus and Cos, the aim of the Estate Red Blend was to make the wine as elegant and terroir expressive as possible. Rich and dark on the nose with black cherries, mulberries and spiced wood along with hints of sweet spices such as vanilla.

A textbook example of a Cru Bourgeois from Moulis-en-Médoc. The 2007 vintage is drinking really well with a classic mix of dark bramble fruit and cigar box smokeyness and a long lingering finish.

Bordeaux blend. Very deep, youthful colour, intense almost purple hue. Very classic Rubicon nose with violets, ripe plum, cedarwood and intense spiceynesss. Still very young but brooding, promising further maturation potential. The palate is full bodied, structured but packed with fresh dark fruit and rounded, linear tannins.

Château Haut-Beauséjour, is a beautiful wine from Saint Estephe. The wine offers tobacco and cold cinders on the nose with dark fruits. It has long, rich palate with notes of morello cherry and blackcurrant. Fine supple tannins and a fresh acidity adds energy and poise to the wine. Delicious.

Château Ka is an extraordinary story of determination and resolve. Akram Kassatly built his winery in the Bekaa Valley in 1973. Shortly after the first wines were made, Lebanon was engulfed by war. The winery was forced to close and Akram moved into other businesses. Finally in 2005 he announced that he was going to try again.

The Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc were harvested from the 16 year old, west facing, Cobblers Hill vineyard, situated on decomposed granite soils.

Cabernet Sauvignon brings great elegance and longevity, thanks to firm and velvety tannins. Nero d’Avola stands out with fruity (cherry and sour cherry) and spicy notes. The addition of Tannat enhances the fruity component while adding a great polyphenolic structure rich in tannins. a variety ideal for long-ageing wines.

Considered one of the top wineries in China, Kanaan is located at the foot of the Helan Mountains in Ningxia, which is about 1,000 km west of Beijing. Kanaan means ‘the land of milk and honey’, signifying the hope for Ningxia to be one of China’s leading regions for the production of fine wine.

This rich, fruit-forward wine calls for succulent, flavorful dishes such as grilled tenderloan with roasted shallots, creamy blue cheeses, pepper-rubbed pork chops or duck breast with grilled plums.

Owned buy the very talented Cuvelier family, who make Leoville Poyferre, the 2010 vintage of the Château Le Crock has good depth on the nose with complexity developing from time in bottle.
