On the nose tropical fruit aromas, such as papaya, mango and ripe pineapple are complemented by gentle notes of vanilla. A well-rounded wine with good volume, a concentrated palate and a long, clean finish.

The juice was barrel-fermented then matured “sur lie” in the barrel for 9 months with occasional rolling of the barrels to accentuate the leesy character. 8% tank-fermented Chardonnay was blended with the barrel-fermented wine to ensure well-balanced citrus flavours.
Youthful notes of lemon and honeysuckle are layered over canteloupe melon, nutmeg, and clove. The perception of richness is derived from fruit ripeness and ageing on regularly stirred yeast lees in the presence of aged French Oak. For this, Peter Finlayson`s love of innovation led him to blend a classic barrel-fermented portion of Chardonnay with a fruity non-malo unwooded portion. The combination of new French oak coupled with the bright fruit of the unwooded portion presents voluptuous bright flavours of butterscotch, melon and creamy peach.
