This 'Galantis' Gran Reserva is a deep purplish red colour in the glass, with intense aromas of black fruits such as blueberries and blackberries. In the mouth it is smooth, with pleasant tannins and a wide and persistent volume on the palate. A wine that will be considered a new classic from the Maipo Andes, 'Galantas' represents the maximum expression of Cabernet Franc in the Maipo Andes Valley.
Wine Features
The grapes come from our organic field located in Pirque, Maipo Andes valley. The Haras de Pirque vineyards are located 700 meters above sea level, where the Cabernet Francs can express their great potential due to the cold nights of the foothills of the Andes.
The 4 different plots of Cabernet Franc and Carménère were vinified independently in stainless steel and French oak vats. It precedes the alcoholic fermentation, a cold maceration for 3 to 5 days, to maximize its aromatic potential. After alcoholic fermentation with native yeasts, the wine was transferred to barrels for a period of 14 months.
