Tasting Notes: 

From the Mathilde Chapoutier Selection, the Duche D'Uzes is a blend of Viognier, Grenache Blanc, Marsanne and Roussanne. A refreshing and aromatic white, with notes of apricot, rose petal ,and candied orange leading to fleshy stone fruit and sweet spice on the palate. Partner with antipasti, firm fish, citrus sauces.

Harvest: Harvesting is carried out at night, by machine, to prevent oxydation and preserve the grapes’ aromatic properties.

Soil: The soil is clay-limestone

Vinification: Total destemming followed by a light, cold maceration on the skins and a gentle pressing. Cold static settling. Low temperature alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel vats. The wine is protected from oxygen to preserve its aromatic potential.

Ageing: 5 months on fine lees
