Painted Rock from British Columbia was established by John and Trish Skinner in 2004. The Okanagan is one of the world’s most northerly wine regions with a hot and arid growing season. Aged 18 months on 30% new oak, of which 80% French and 20% American, and 70% second fill French Oak. Aromatics of fresh cracked black pepper, violets and wild herbs. Sweet and ripe berry flavours with cocoa and spice and a touch of oak vanilla. Rounded and rich on the palate, with juicy acidity, chalky tannins and a long finish.
