Loggerenberg

Van Loggerenberg `Break a Leg` Rosé 2017

The `Break a Leg` rosé made by Lukas Van Loggerenberg is made from Cinsault from just two barrels of juice. It is a finely-textured wine, ripe and round with gorgeous softness, one of only a few such South African dry rosés. The quality shines through in this serious wine and more than stands up to some of the pricier southern Rhône versions.

Van Loggerenberg `Geronimo` Cinsault 2016

Van Loggerenberg `Geronimo` Cinsault 2017

Geronimo represents four barrels from two parcels of Cinsault, half from 30 year old vines on the Bredell farm in Faure, with the balance from 45 year old material on Jacobsdal in Polkadraai. If your experience to date is of fruity, simple modern Cinsault from the avant-garde Cape, you can be reassured that this example is altogether more serious.

Van Loggerenberg `Kamaraderie` Chenin 2016

Van Loggerenberg `Kamaraderie` Chenin 2017

Lukas Can Loggerenberg`s first vintage since striking out to make wine on his own, Kamaraderie is made from dryland, bushvine Chenin blanc planted in 1960. Fermented naturally in old french oak. This is a truly stunning Chenin, rich and concentrated, with ripe pear, notes of toasted oak and honey.
