The Willamette Valley Pinot Noir is raised for 22 months in barrel without racking or inoculations. We feel bottling this lot any earlier than the single vineyard wines would not allow for some of the more elegant, and detailed aspects to have a chance to develop and concentrate, and so all of the Pinot Noir is bottled at the same time nearly two years following the harvest. Aromatically, intense notes of roses, burnt orange, cranberry, smoked cherry, hibiscus, cinnamon and strawberry can be found. On the palate, lots of blood orange, concentrated strawberry, rooibos tea leaf, and cranberry are tucked into a savory and taut frame. The finish is long, bright, chewy and rich.
