Salice is a soft yet full-flavoured red from southern Puglia. It is perhaps the best-known appellation of the region for its inviting fruit character, blending local varieties Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera. Its distinctive plum and chocolate character has an attractive underlying leather and mineral flavours.
A brilliant fresh and full bodied wine which exhibits round sweet fruit flavours and extraordinary length. It is a delicious modern style of Barbera with both elegance and complexity supported by supple, moderate tannins. Barbera gives intense mouthfilling berry fruit, velvety texture and acidity softened by age in barrel.
The Gran Sasso wines are from Ortona in the Abruzzi, home to Valentino Sciotti who is also closely involved in the Vesevo, Primo and Farnese ranges. Marco Flacco is the winemaker here and has made a range which has a freshness and vivacity often lacking in wines from this area.
A fresh and fruity Bardolino made from Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara. The wine is medium bodied with notes of sour cherries, blackcurrants and a hint of black pepper. Soft and supple in the mouth, this wine has a long and fruity finish.
Fabiano have produced a charming and well structured red wine obtained from partially dried grapes in Verona. The wine has delicate aromas of ripe cherries and sweet spices. The palate is rich, with intense cherries and berry fruit, good length and soft tannins. Amazing value!
Very deep ruby in colour with a youthful purple rim and lively, perfumed nose. Cherries, ripe blackberries and a touch of spice on the nose give way to a supple, dark plummy structure with a spicy, black pepper character on the finish.
This is another organic and biodynamic wine from the Lunaria guys. Montepulciano d`Abruzzo is made from carefully selected grapes and left to ferment naturally using wild yeasts before ageing in a combination of oak and stainless steel for at least four months.
BEST SELLER This bio-dynamic Primitivo is a lovely ruby red colour. On the nose, aromas of black cherry and violets leap from the glass. The palate is soft and smooth with notes of sweet black cherries and blackcurrant fruits combined with a hint of cinnamon and cloves supported by lovely soft tannins.
Lambrusco, really? Yes it`s coming back into fashion and this is frothy fruity and fabulous. Ruby red in colour, with plenty of bright bubbles. On the nose it has a fresh, pronounced and very fine fruity scent.
Deep ruby red in colour, with perfumes of sour cherry and plums with notes of leather and tobacco. Great depth of flavour, with juicy fruit and supple tannins, giving the wine a silky-smooth texture. This wine has a great structure and a fine mineral note on the finish.
One of Sicily`s most quality conscious producers with vineyards planted on the volcanic soils of Northern Sicily and on the island of Salina. The red wine is a varietal `Nero d`Avola`, a native Sicilian grape, which has become very fashionable for its rich character and bold structure.
This is an Appassito wine made from partially dried Primitivo grapes, imparting a richness and depth of character. A deeply coloured wine with exuberant perfumes of ripe red and black berry fruits, with notes of spice from the oak ageing. Made in the style of an Amarone, it is concentrated and opulent on the palate, with great balance.
This Etna Rosso from Sicily, is surprisingly sturdy for a wine this pale. The grapes are grown in the volcanic soils around Mount Etna and provide a wonderful depth of minerality beneath the ripe cherry and wild strawberry fruit flavours.

From the famous Petra house this brilliant value `Super Tuscan` is bright ruby red in colour. The bouquet is full of red fruit, with hints of black cherry and blueberry. The wine has excellent balance and length with a tangy finish of blackberry and dried fruit. A real Tuscan treat!
Great depth of colour with the lovely herbal berry notes characteristic of good Dolcetto. Red, black and blueberries with a touch of dried summer herbs such as marjoram and thyme follow through to the palate where the solid tannic structure of this variety gives structure and weight to the berry fruit character.
This `mini` Amarone from the brilliant Allegrini house has 70% of the grapes picked and vinified immediately. The other 30% were left to dry until the first half of January when they were vinified and then refermented with the wine from the fresh grapes.
