Great Value new wave Chilean Pinot which is quite a profound experience for the money. It`s made from a selection of young vines mainly sourced from hillside blocks planted on a mixture of red clay and decomposed granite. The wine was aged for a total of 9 months in second use French oak barrels before being bottled with minimal filtration.
Le Logis de la Bouchardiere dates back to 1850, and is headed up by Cabernet Franc king Bruno Sourdais. This is the flagship wine from the estate and represents everything that makes Chinon great. On the nose the wine has complex aromas of chargrilled peppers, violet, pencil lead and crushed stone.

This is a great cool climate Pinot Noir from the esteemed Aconcagua Costa Valley in Chile. The grapes were hand picked to ensure optimum ripeness and quality. The wine was aged for 10 months in French Oak barrels to gain complexity without overpowering the fresh fruit character.

Beautiful display of classic ruby colours, cherry and raspberry like flavours and aromas. A hint of oak from the barrique barrel ageing, well balanced, soft acidity and ripe finish. Musk and brambly red berries combine with orange peel, dark cocoa powder and roasted coffee beans. Wet red earth and undergrowth. The palate shows spicy clovey notes with a Campari like stalkiness.
The wine has an aroma of savoury ripe plum and cherry with a hint of game and smoky oak. Really interesting 100% Cabernet Franc from the fab Chamonix estate only a limited parcel. This shows deep ruby mulberry colour and immense bouquet with scents reminiscent of bellpepper, red berries, spice and cigar box.
