Episode 29 represents the 5th ever Chenin Blanc released by The Liberator (and there you were thinking this was a blatant and cynical reference to a famous perfume). It also happens to be the single largest Liberator ‘Episode’ release to date.
The Sauvignon Blanc grapes come from the Curico Valley. Curico‘s mediterranean climate is a result of the vines being shielded from the Pacific Ocean by the Coastal Range. Sauvignon Blanc from Curico is riper in comparison to the cooler climate regions in Chile, but is still able to retain freshness due to cool nights.
From selected vineyard sites across Chile`s Central Valley. The cooling influences of the Andes and the Humboldt current together with the diurnal temperature difference here allows for slow ripening so that the grapes develop maximum flavour.

This white blend comes from relatively high-altitude vineyards above the river Douro. Bright lemon in colour. On the nose, intense floral aromas stand out, as well as citrus fruits, tropical fruits, white stone fruits and light asparagus aromas. It has lively acidity which is well integrated on the palate. The finish is elegant and harmonious.
The passionate and innovative young winemaker Pascal Cuisset owns this beautiful Dordogne estate, south west of the town of Bergerac. Made from a blend of Sauvignon and Semillon matured `sur lie`, his dry white Bergerac is full and fruity. It retains a crisp, zingy acidity with hints of pineapple and gooseberry and fantastic weight on the palate.

A crisp and fresh Vermentino from vineyards in the South of France. Citrus aromas and notes of grapefruits and ripe fruits on the nose. Broad and fruity on entry with lovely aromas of ripe fruit, enhanced by a nice acidity, giving the wine good length on the palate.
From Matelica the most interesting zone of Verdicchio. Pale, lemon yellow in colour, the 2009 is fresh and aromatic, with perfumes of white flowers and a touch of acacia honey. On the palate it is intense, with lovely depth of ripe, peachy fruit with a lemon twist on the finish.
Organic Viognier from Dominio de Punctum in La Mancha. A beautiful pale gold in colour, this Viognier is highly aromatic with perfumed, floral aromas on the nose. The palate is full of white blossm, magnolia and peach flavours, balanced perfectly with a refreshing, citric acidity.
Produced by one of the finest growers in St Veran, adjacent to Pouilly Fuisse, on vines situated on chalk and limestone hillsides. Wonderfully structured, showing great fruit with lovely toasty flavours and a crisp citrus aftertaste, ideally balanced and full bodied.

A bright, fresh Languedoc white from the coastal flatlands of Sete which abounds with fragrant aromas of white flowers, quince and anis followed by ginger and citrus notes. It is lively on the palate with notes of lemon, melon and honey finishing crisp and dry with matured crystallised citrus fruits
This has full ripe Pinot Gris spiciness in the nose, with a lovely lemon lift. It is medium weight, but with a full, stony impact on the palate, where it is long and satisfying with good acidity. No malolactic fermentation is allowed, so the wine retains a bright crisp citrus acidity. Attractive peach fruit. creamy texture, very slightly off-dry.
Modern fruity yet dry German from the Pfalz. Villa Wolf Pinot Gris is made in a dry style and has wonderful richness to it. It shows some nice peach and slightly smoky notes. Clean tasting with a delicious creamy finish. Ripe orchard fruit aromas are enhanced by beautiful weight and balance with lovely fresh acidity running all the way through.
Grown at Domaine Herbauges by perfectionist Jerome Choblet, this `old vine`unoaked Chardonnay is super fresh and lively with a lovely twist of lemon acidity. Beautifully balanced and dry it also develops exotic fruits such as pineapple, banana and quince on the palate.
Made by cool dude Kiwi winemaker Grant Phelps this is a non typical Chile Savvy with interesting tropical fruit and saline nose. The 30% barrel fermentation gives it a lovely rounded mouthfeel. Peachy and fresh on the palate what`s not to like ? brilliant value.
