Ruby red and garnet in colour, this wine opens with youthful berry aromas and a hint of smoke. It is ripe and juicy on the palate, maintaining a fruit-driven character and is supported by lovely savoury tannins. The finish persists with smoky notes of ripe raspberry.
This has full ripe Pinot Gris spiciness in the nose, with a lovely lemon lift. It is medium weight, but with a full, stony impact on the palate, where it is long and satisfying with good acidity. No malolactic fermentation is allowed, so the wine retains a bright crisp citrus acidity. Attractive peach fruit. creamy texture, very slightly off-dry.
This soft and rounded wine is a modern style of Chianti from the south of Tuscany, made to emphasise its ripe and vibrant fruit. The hilltop town of Montepulciano lies in the south of Tuscany near the town of Siena. The surrounding vineyards are planted with indigenous Sangiovese grapes (Prugnolo), used to produce one of Italy`s noblest red wines.
A Sangiovese from the New World, that`s what we have here. We were suspicious and then we tried it and it`s marvellous. On the palate there are raspberries, dark berries, juniper and dried herbs. For those lovers of natural wine this beauty has minimal intervention at all stages and has tiny amounts of sulphur added, compared to other wines.

This Brunello from the tiny Fossacolle estate is an absolute gem. The estate is situated in Tavernelle in south-central Montalcino. In the glass the wine is a brilliant ruby red, with alluring aromas of very ripe red berries and delicate spices. Full bodied and persistent on the palate, with outstanding minerality.
