This wine is a project formed between two very good English cricketers (Ian Botham & Bob Willis) and one very good Australian winemaker (Geoff Merrill). The wine is full bodied showing notes of blackberry, leather and anise. It ends with a lovely dry finish.
It offers a wonderful combination of sweet spice and red cherry on the nose. Candied peels, tobacco and even floral notes add a wonderful sense of perfume and nuance and almost every time you go back to this “Cepparello” it is possible to find something new and exciting.

This is a serious wine with aromatics of dark plum, cherry, spice and earthy undertones. The palate is generous and rich and does not disappoint with these characters shining through, coupled with dark berries. A long tannin structure integrated with new and older French oak make this wine one that will age very well.
