Villa Baulieu Coteaux d`Aix-en-Provence 2013

Tasting Notes:

The Villa Baulieu estate is located within the crater of Provence`s only volcano located in Rognes. The estate has been family owned since its creation in 1576 and it is owned by the Guénat family today, who also own Château Beaulieu.
The wine has fine, complex aromas of liquorice, mocha and mint liqueur that dominate the nose, underlined by hints of violet and liquorice sweets, followed by perfumes of black berries and white stone fruits. The palate is expansive and concentrated, offering a soft, spicy texture enveloped in ripe, tight tannins and well integrated oak.
