This French red wine is made from 40 year old Carignan vines that produces a wine with an alluring nose of ripe strawberry and dark cherry. It is supple with ripe fruit and very light tannins.

The village of St Christol is one of 12 villages in the Coteaux du Languedoc appellation, near the town of Nimes. The wine is a blend from Syrah, Carignan and Mourvedre and is a soft velvety red with a floral bouquet of violets and red berries.

Is Solinas is a Sardinian wine from the Argiolas family. It is ruby red in colour with violet tinges. It is intense on the nose with notes of ripe fruit and jam. Full bodied, warm and harmonious to taste with persistent fruity notes. the tannins have softened wonderfully, thanks to the time in oak barrels.
A knockout blend of the three dominant field-blended varieties at the vineyard—Zinfandel, Mataro and Carignan—though it also contains bits and bobs of Alicante Bouschet, Grand Noir, Mission, Palomino and even a single, ancient Clairette Blanche vine (definitely had to go to the DNA to ID that one!).
