A blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah from vineyards in the South of France. A floral wine with a frank attack, well balanced acidity, full and enhanced by white-fleshed fruit notes. Ideal for aperitif drinking, it will also go well with summer cuisine: salads, grills and dishes from the south of France.
Le Poussin is made by Sacha Lichine of Whispering Angel fame. The Pink Chick is a delicate, pale pink blend made mostly from Grenache with a little dash of Syrah to round it out. It has floral, rose petal scents on the nose and a dry, well balanced palate with supple summer fruits.
Raptor Post from Fable Mountain Vineyards is a Rhone style blend from Tulbagh. Aged for 12 months in old French Oak the wine is produced in a modern, fruit forward style. On the nose the wine displays fresh brambly fruit characters with peppery sweet spice. Bright and easy drinking on the palate with ripe red fruit and a spicy finish.

From the Mathilde Chapoutier Selection tihs is a sulphite free Cotes du Rhone made from a blend of Grenache and Syrah. The palate is full and concentrated, there is a lovely freshness on entry with gorgeous red fruit accompanied by powerful, melted tannins. The finish is persistent with slightly smoky notes and a hint of liquorice.
This Cotes du Rhone from the iconic Perrin family have produced a beautiful 2017 vintage with great maturity. The nose reveals a beautiful expression of Grenache quite ripe without being tannic. Rich in the mouth, it offers a nice complexity with aromas of spices, garrigue, blackcurrant and white pepper. Delicious

By harvesting at night, the freshness of the wine is preserved and a short cold-maceration for the must in contact with the skins imparts the enticing pale shade of pink. The 2017 Wanderer’s Heart is a Cape Red – a wine that is built around the incredible vineyards found all over the Western Cape. The wine’s aromas include tea leaf, dried cranberry, exotic woods, star anise, coriander seed and citrus peel, and a whiff of the apothecary’s chest. On the palate there’s naartjie peel, cloves and damson plums.
A Southern Rhone which punches above its weight, with lively cherry notes on the nose, a touch of liquorice and hints of black pepper. On the palate, it is full-bodied and the ripe tannins gently support the cherry, cassis and herb character on the finish.
Beautiful dark red dress. The nose is powerful with intense notes of juniper, black olives and pepper. In the mouth, it is an explosion of red fruit, with floral and spicy notes, but with a very nice balance combining great freshness, a beautiful complexity, a soft texture and a nice acidity. A Biodynamic Cotes du Rhone from Domaine Richaud. A deep and dense wine with aromas of ripe black fruit, notes of violet and pepper. The wine is full bodied and silky with the fruit continuing to the palate, balanced by notes of earth, leather and sweet spice. Powerful and intriguing.
This lovely Cannonau from the Argiolas family is Sardinia is deep ruby red with garnet tinges. Aromas jump out of the glass, showing hints of red berries, Mediterranean spices and herbs. The palate is warm, well-rounded with good structure and perfect balance. A super food wine and terrific value.
Winemaking is kept as natural as possible and Marcel never uses new oak. The wine remained in the cellar until bottling without fining or filtration, to keep as much of the fruit character as possible. Marcel adds no sulphur during the winemaking, with a tiny amount at bottling to ensure stability.The full bouquet is full of red fruit aromas.
The superb Domaine des Bosquets Gigondas is made by Laurent Brechet from his 26 hectare estate close to the Dentelles de Montmirail mountains. As at Vaudieu, the wine has freshness yet richness. Laurent has identified three different terroirs which add to the potential for different ripeness levels and fruit characters.
