Very deep ruby/purple in colour with dark, intense and very pure aromas of violets and ripe summer berries with touches of roast meats and complex spice notes. On the palate there is lots of black fruit, classic savoury spice and persistent, mouth-coating tannins.

The 2014 Antiquarian Shiraz was selected from the finest Barossa grapes and matured in French oak barriques for 24 months.The wine is glorious upon release and will develop even greater complexity with cellaring for up to 10 years. The wine is a deep crimson red, showing brick edges.
This wine is incredibly fresh and lively. On the nose there are aromas of cherries and fuity berries with a hint of red pepper. The mouth fills with all that fruit, hints of coconut, pepper and spice. The wine is deliciously dry with creamy tanins. This is a wine of complexity with plenty of layers to ponder. Fantastic!

A long tannin structure integrated with new and older French oak make this wine one that will age very well.
