Ch. Saint Maur Clos de Capelune 2023

Owned by Roger Zannier, Château Saint-Maur is one of the finest properties in Provence. A few kilometres from Saint-Tropez, Saint-Maur is one of only eighteen estates that have been awarded Cru Classé status in the region. The Clos de Capelune vineyard, on the heights of Collobrières, overlooks the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. At 449m of altitude, these are the highest vines in the Côtes de Provence appellation. Clay-limestone soils are mixed with schist and quartz. The grapes are harvested by hand at night to preserve their freshness and then meticulously sorted. The rosé is a subtle blend of Syrah, Cinsault, Grenache and Rolle. Very elegant and complex with layers of delicate red berry fruits on the palate and a refined mineral note, this is a wine to be enjoyed with food. The white is 100% Rolle and is matured in oak barrels. An enveloping bouquet of stone fruits, honeysuckle and white peaches, enhanced by a subtle toasted note, leads to a beautifully refreshing and elegant palate.
