It's good enough for No 10

Fishing boats in a harbour

Camel Valley have been producing award-winning great British wine from a beautiful corner of Cornwall since 1989.  In fact, when ex-RAF pilot Bob Lindo and his wife Annie planted their first eight thousand vines in 1989, they never dreamed of the phenomenal success they would achieve within 2 decades. They had bought their farm in the heart of the Cornish countryside several years earlier, seeking a change from service life and the perfect place to bring up their young family, and initially farmed sheep and cattle. Each summer they watched the grass turn brown on the sun-drenched slopes of the Camel Valley, and wondered if vines might enjoy such an aspect. The rest as they say is history!

One of our favourites is the Camel Valley Atlantic Dry 2014 which is a crisp, clean and fresh wine made from a blend of 50% Bacchus and 50% Chardonnay, fermented at low temperature to retain its delicacy. This aromatic wine is the perfect accompaniment to light fish dishes, and is a favourite in many Cornish restaurants and perfect for your fish dish - a real homage to the fresh produce direct from an ocean like the Atlantic too!

The name celebrates the Atlantic Ocean lapping Cornwall's shores, and is served at no 10 Downing Street by the Prime Minister.

It's good enough for the PM and certainly good enough to drink with your fish supper!
