Samalens Vintage Decanter 1996

Founded in 1882 by Jean Samalens, Samalens is an Armagnac producer based in Laujuzan, a commune at the heart of the acclaimed ‘Bas-Armagnac’ region. They are the largest Armagnac producer in this area with eight stills in their distillery, the oldest of which dates back to the 19th century. Samalens’ cellars boast some of the most significant and exclusive stocks of Bas-Armagnac, with aged reserves dating back to the 1888 vintage. The 1996 vintage Armagnac offers incredible complexity with a golden cherry appearance, woody nose and hints of truffle, prunes dominate the aromas. A well rounded palate, with prune and vanilla.
