Van Loggerenberg `Graft`Shiraz 2022

This wine from Lukas Van Loggerenberg is gloriously clever. It is fermented using whole bunches, fermented and matured for 11 months in old oak. Red berry fruit jumps out of the glass but there is a forest floor complexity to it also. The palate offers lots if fresh acidity, a hint of salinity with a ripe tannin grip. Only two barrels were made and we got some of it!
