Quinta do Infantado 10yr Tawny Port Half
IN102HNV / 37.5cl
Quinta do Infantado has been owned by the Roseira family for well over a century. In 1979, it became the first Port producer to start bottling its wines at their estate in the Douro, rather than in Porto’s Vila Nova de Gaia. The name ‘Infantado’ derives from ‘Infante’, Portuguese for ‘heir to the throne’, and references the history of the estate. The Portuguese royal family first built the winery in 1816, as a place where they could collect taxes in the form of grapes and wine brought to them by the local growers. João Roseira now looks after the vineyards and oversees the winemaking. Light tawny colour, flavours of dry fruits and hints of citrus fruits. Medium weight in the mouth, elegant and long on the finish.
