Since white Saumur-Champigny doesn’t exist, this wine defaults to the catch-all appellation of Saumur. La Dame, is fermented and aged in new and second fill barriques and larger foudre. It comes from a specific clone of Chenin, planted close to the Medieval church above Parnay, that gives it a great aromatic quality; almost Alsatian in style.

This beautiful wine from Moncaro, based in The Marche region of Italy is dense straw yellow in colour with green notes. On ageing, this award winning wine develops a golden-yellow hue. On the nose the wine is incredibly intense with strong fruity aromas lifted by hints of citrus, honey and floral notes.
The sloping vineyards of the Leistenberg are characterised predominantly by clay slate soils. This dry, blackish-grey slate is perfect for producing superbly elegant wines. The characterful dry Riesling wines from these soils are therefore named after this ancient rock. Tonschiefer translates as clay slate.

This fascinating White Rioja from one of the regions` top producers is made with a blend of white varieties that are very gently hand harvested when the grapes are at optimum ripeness. They are then softly pressed and the must goes into concrete tanks and then into stainless steel tanks for the alcoholic fermentation.
