Very deep ruby in colour with a youthful purple rim and lively, perfumed nose. Cherries, ripe blackberries and a touch of spice on the nose give way to a supple, dark plummy structure with a spicy, black pepper character on the finish.
This white blend comes from relatively high-altitude vineyards above the river Douro. Bright lemon in colour. On the nose, intense floral aromas stand out, as well as citrus fruits, tropical fruits, white stone fruits and light asparagus aromas. It has lively acidity which is well integrated on the palate.
Shiraz has long been Coriole’s principal variety and was first planted on the estate in 1919, while Sangiovese was planted at Coriole in 1983. An alluring nose abundant with aromas of ripe cherry, freshly-turned earth, star anise and roasted almond.
