Our Wines

This wine is intense red in colour with violet hues. The nose is light with delicate aromas of raspberries, bramble, cherry jam and cracked red pepper. On the palate, it has flavours of crushed cranberries and black olives. It has a crisp and refreshing acidity with a long and lingering finish.

The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes come from the Colchagua Valley, Chile renowned for making excellent red wines. In Colchagua, the moderating breezes from the ocean slows ripening allowing the wines to achieve perfect ripeness. Cool nights help retain acidity giving freshness to the wines. All grapes were hand harvested. Deep, ruby red in colour.

Modern techniques and vinification have produced this bright red wine which retains the natural fresh fruit character. This Cabernet Merlot is soft and mellow with ripe berry flavours.

One of our biggest selling reds, the Meerlust Red is made from the fruit that`s not quite good enough for the celebrated Rubicon, but is still an excellent expression of the style. This wine has an intense, opaque deep ruby colour, bright and vivacious in the glass, very youthful.

Big Easy Cabernet was sourced from the Helderberg region within Stellenbosch, with selected parcels from different coastal regions to complete the blend. The great vintage of 2015 gives the Big Easy Cabernet Sauvignon a slightly more serious side. Rich and elegant with notes of dark chocolate, cinnamon spice and ripe plums fill the glass.

This Cabernet dominated Bordeaux blend shows the depth and intensity gained from a cool micro-climate. Rich and spicy with truffle and vanilla on the nose, beautifully balanced palate with cherry and liquorice, firm tannins and a long intense and satisfying finish.

Great value,this fantastic Chartreuse property is among the best of the appellation, producing firm, rich wine from predominately Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, with a small percentage of Cabernet Franc. Tanesse has classic structure, and in this great vintage it has extra depth of soft fruit with subtle oak, ripe tannins, and an excellent balance.

A lovely balanced fruity wine from McLaren Vale, Australia. Beuatiful blackcurrant and leafy flavours from the Cabernet with a hint of Violets from the Touriga. A perfect, punchy red at a great price.

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon with Feteascå Neagrå, also known as `Black Maiden` which is one of Romania`s oldest black grape varieties. The nose is intense and full of blackcurrant aromas with notes of coffee and pepper.

Lifted peppery spice leads into an herbaceous mix of blackberries, currants and cloves. The partial Amarone method produces hints of liquorice, tar and leather whilst remaining fresh and vibrant. The youthful tannin structure will evolve over the next few years to become soft, supple and smooth.

Le Chemin des Garennes from Chateau Capion is a blend of Roussanne and Bourboulenc from the Languedoc. A pale golden yellow in colour, the wine displays aromas of mandarin, white peach and lemon zest with notes of fennel, white flowers and wet stone. Barrel ageing lends the wine weight on the palate which is balanced by a refreshing acidity.

Deep ruby colour. The nose is full of dark fruits such as cassis, mulberry and blueberry, along with a touch of fresh red strawberry and raspberry fruit and a hint of violet. The wood gives just a touch of complexity on the palate, complementing the fresh, fruity character. Tannins are soft and gentle in this rounded and complex wine.

Robust and bold, Ca` Momi`s proprietary 100% Napa Valley red blend is ripe with bright strawberry and raspberry flavor, a velvety texture, and full-mouth feel. If you`re looking for a medium-bodied, soft, extroverted red, that is deceptively rich in flavour, then this is your boy.

New Zealand rich deep coloured red from the Hawkes Bay region, dark fruits on the nose with ripe tannins on the palate for young drinking. We all love New Zealand whites, but they do great food red wines for partnering with red meats too !

Rebecca and Lucy`s maternal grandmother’s maiden name, Coulthard remembers their ancestors who arrived in South Australia from England aboard The HMS Buffalo in 1836. This wine shows the pure varietal expression of Langhorne Creek Cabernet, one of the original red varietals that established the region.

This red wine under the famous Kleinbabylonstoren `Black label` is a specially crafted cuvee on the basis of varietal intensity and character. Released with good bottle age to match similar blends from Bordeaux this exceptional red wine has notes of violets, cassis and dried herb aromas.

Blend of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, brilliant clarity with medium intensity, a cherry red centre and pink purple hue. Aromas of mint and earth harmoniously meld with cherry, plum and berry fruits to afford a complex bouquet. The palate is round and of medium weight, with fine tannins.

The Shotfire range immortilises the Clarke’s ancestry in the Barossa goldfields and the Shotfirer’s hazardous job of setting and lighting the charges in the mines. Deep red in colour with brick hues at the edge. Lifted blackcurrant and violet aromas on the nose with notes of dark chocolate, spice and eucalyptus.

From the famous Petra house this brilliant value `Super Tuscan` is bright ruby red in colour. The bouquet is full of red fruit, with hints of black cherry and blueberry. The wine has excellent balance and length with a tangy finish of blackberry and dried fruit. A real Tuscan treat!

This wine is a project formed between two very good English cricketers (Ian Botham & Bob Willis) and one very good Australian winemaker (Geoff Merrill). The wine shows notes ripe, red fruits, hints of black olives along with menthol. Finishes with a lovely soft mouthfeel.

Complex yet approachable, Slingshot has a bouquet of ripe raspberry, blueberry and plum. The palate is full and textured with notes of chocolate and wild currents, while balancing acidity and chewy tannins.

They produced only 28 barrels of this flagship blend using all four of the classic Bordeaux varieties giving extra dimension. A classic Laibach red wine, dark in colour with aromas of cassis, pencil shavings and wild spices. Quality oak adds creamy complexity leading to a lovely ripe juicy red flavour with elegance and finesse.

Ernie Els` Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards grow on the warm north-facing slopes of the Helderberg region within the Stellenbosch appellation. Medium in body but full in character, charm and structure with notes of cassis, mint, baked plums and liquorice on the nose, leading to a richly-fruited palate.

This Cabernet Sauvignon dominant Bordeaux blend, from the lovely team at Botanica shows blackberry, black cherry and tobacco aromas. Soft ripe fruit, dark red plums and lingering earthy and chocolate notes. It`s smooth and warming, with a velvety texture and a long finish, it is absolutely delicious.
