World class elegant Sauvignon displaying a beautiful pale straw colour with a hint of green. The nose is subtle and perfumed. The aromas are that of nettles, lemongrass, green figs and cape gooseberries.
“GSM” and “SMG” are both everyday acronyms within the wine fraternity for blends of these 3 grape varieties, but have you ever come across a wine labelled as MSG…? I suspect not, and it’s because producers are afraid that their wine will be tarnished with a link to the well-known, much-maligned food flavour enhancer.
Strong citrus and guava aromas on the nose with ripe pineapple and peach flavours that follows through on the palate along with crisp pear. These are complemented by a long, clean, crisp aftertaste making this a remarkably concentrated yet fresh and fruity style of Chenin Blanc which will develop with bottle ageing.
